Honest 2026 review

Is Filmoyo Director a Scam?

Legit

Filmoyo Director is a real AI film tool. The public pages credit Andrew Darius, a veteran software vendor, and the company behind it is Explaindio LLC. It is not a magic money button. You type a sentence, approve frames, and download a stylized film. Views, clients, and income are not included.

The fears

Three worries, answered with the actual offer.

“AI videos look fake.”

Filmoyo makes stylized cinematic footage, not a live-action crew on a set. The vendor says this in plain language. The public demo looks like a directed short, with the same explorer across different worlds. Judge those frames. Do not expect a documentary of a real person.

“There are hidden fees.”

The personal studio is $27 once. Selling the videos to clients requires the commercial license, which is $10 more, $37 total, and it is a checkbox on the order form. There is no monthly fee on the license. Extra credits are optional if you use up the 600 Core and 150 PRO included in the box.

“The credits run out.”

They can. Filmoyo uses a credit system. Drafts, casting, frames, animation, and stitching spend credits. The included pack is the fuel for the first films, not an unlimited tap. Top-ups are a separate purchase, and the vendor says those packs are non-refundable.

What you can count on

  • A named product with a public sales page, a workspace, and demo frames.
  • Character Lock, shown with the same explorer across six shots.
  • A one-time license, with a 30-day guarantee the vendor states on that license.
  • A clear split between posting your own films and selling them to clients.

What this is not

  • A guarantee of views, clients, or profit.
  • Live-action footage of real actors on a set.
  • Unlimited generation. Credits are the meter.
  • Permission to sell the work, unless you add the $10 commercial license.

Verdict

Legit tool. Ordinary limits.

Buy it if you want a director’s workspace and a cast that can hold from shot to shot. Skip it if you wanted a machine that prints income. The full breakdown, including the 4.8 rating, is on the review.
